Fundii Centre for the Arts is a contemporary space for Nairobi’s creatives. We encourage artists to experiment and play within a supportive environment. By giving Kenyan creators a space to take risks, we enable them to critically develop their practice beyond traditional concepts and forms.
Fundii’s mission is to nurture talent and provoke public dialogue with alternative art-making. We function as a creative hub that fosters collaboration and dialogue between artists and communities that would not otherwise cross paths. Our expansive social network of makers, collectives and cultural organizations provides an opportunity for local and international artists to explore new creative avenues.
Founded by two of Nairobi’s practicing artists, we’ve developed our own cultural infrastructure that supports the creative endeavours of artists – exhibiting, performing, investigating, collaborating and working – at Fundii Centre for the Arts.
Being makers at heart, our offerings include artist studios, exhibitions, public events, pop-ups, boutique, meeting rooms, training workshops and educational programs. If you’re interested in exhibiting with us or being represented by us, send a concept note to info@fundii.co.ke along with your portfolio/website and contact details. Feel free to pop by anytime for a chat and a cup of chai!
